តើមានអ្វីផ្សេងដែលរូបរាងកាយដ៏ប្រពៃនេះអាចបង្កើតបាន?

ហើយដែលអ្នកងប់យ៉ាងខ្លាំងក្នុងរាគះ!

ហេតុអ្វីបានជាអ្នកធ្វើអោយមាសក្លាយទៅជាផេះ

មិនគិតទេថា អ្នកនឹងមិនអាចរកវាបានមកវិញ។

មិនត្រូវអោយវាបោកបញ្ឆោតបាននៅពេលនេះទ្បើយ។

This Precious Life

Have we ever given thought to our body -how wonderful is this house in which we live, what treasures lie hidden in it, what purest gems of ray, serene this dark 'unfathomed cave holds? The answer is generally in the negative. Is it not surprising that we have never cared to look inside the house in which we have been living for such a long time? we spend some time, daily in looking after its outer cleanliness and appearance. In fact, some of us spend too much time in trying to beautify 'this muddy vesture of decay' and have never tried to find what wonders lie concealed within. Thus we are in possession, but absolutely ignorant of the real mine of precious diamonds.

All perfect Masters have given us the same message time and time again -that this human body granted to us is a rare and precious gift. They tell us that we have been blessed by getting this human life after passing through eight million four hundred thousand forms of life. We have finally reached the top rung of creation. The human form is known as the body which God has made, in which He Himself dwells, and in which He alone can be met. It has been said that even gods and goddesses pray and pine for the human body and only those with the highest good fortune get it through the grace of the Lord. 

But how well are we using this body? What are we doing with this precious life of ours? 

Most of us are so absorbed in our social activities, in our business deals, in our relationships and in the building of worldly treasures that there is so little time left for the Lord. Some even claim that they have no time to think of Him! We have become too attached to our body and worldly possessions. Our desires have become increasingly materialistic; the more we get, the more we want. The five passions of pride', anger, greed, attachment and lust have over­taken us. 

The saints point out that all of us in this world are ignorant and blind. Despite the fact that we have remarkable scientific achievements to our credit, we still have little knowledge of our Creator. 

We lavish our love upon the world and its shadow shapes. We try to make them our own but in reality nothing of this world will ever be our own. 

Just analyses what is happening around us -how happy we are when a child is born. We celebrate the event with big parties but, if that child were to fall ill or die, we grieve forever. We amass wealth, sacrificing for it our health, our morals, our principals; and as long as our bank accounts look good we are elated. But, .if this wealth were to be lost or stolen, we are filled with dejection and despair. We run after name and fame but history tells us that soon enough we may have to face disgrace and dishonor. Nothing in this world of illusion is of lasting value, yet we go on clinging to 'them. 

Huzur Maharaj Ji says: "How sad it ~ that we waste the precious gift of human life in running after transient and fleeting pleasures of the world. but fail to find the one Reality that can be permanently ours. 

Saints and mystics have seen how attached we have become to the ‘toys’ of this creation, so they have come down to our level to liberate us and rescue us from our own folly. They remind us that this body is a rented house, that it is a cage of Kal -the negative power -whose function it is to see that no soul escapes and leaves his domain. It is given to us for a limited period. As much as we may want to, we cannot live in it forever. Once our allotted span of life is over, once the divine energy departs, the body turns to dust. We tend to forget that this body has been granted to us for the use of our soul to go back to its source. 

The human body has been likened to the last step of the ladder of life. If we make our best endeavors, we can step onto the roof. Otherwise, we will 'slip and "fall back into this maze of eternal wanderings. The saints, therefore, say with great emphasis that we should not fail to make the best use of this wonderful opportunity of having a human birth. Family and children, eating and drinking, we have had in all of our lives. Tile one thing that we w ere so sadly" .Obliviously of, was the practice of devotion to the Lord. This, indeed, is our true work. 

The Master asks us to keep this objective in view while at the same time discharging all our world duties; as a husband, wife, parent, etc. This balance of living and simultaneously practicing devoting to the Lord is the best explained by Sardar Bahadur Ji: 

You are to live in the world but in a sensible way. Enjoy the world and its objects but realize their true worth. They are meant to serve you. Take full service from them but do not yourself become their slave. Let not your mind be so entangled in attachment to these objects that, instead of being of service to you they become your master. Live in the world, in the most unconcerned way. Neither should the-gift of a kingdom elate you, nor the loss of possession depress you. Live in the world but be of God and not of the world. Without actually renouncing, live like one who has renounced it.

Earn your wealth honestly and spend it well. It is meant for you. Attend to your work during the day. Day is for work. But at night give some time to devotion and contemplation. This is 'your real work'. Just think for a moment, of all that you do during the day, nothing of it is for yourself. Much of that you do is for your family and friends. Daily you spend some time in adorning your body; but realise that even this is not yours and will not accompany you on your last journey. It will stay behind to be buried or cremated. 

Your own work is that of doing simran and bhajan which will, in due course, liberate you from this vast prison in which you have been confined for countless ages. Life is short, time is fleeting; take full advantage of it, and if you have not done 'your own work ' already, start doing it now. Seek a true Master and under his guidance attach your soul to the Word and reach your true home. " 

When this human body becomes an instrument of divine love and devotion to the Word or Nam. one begins to realise its significance. Human life then appears as one of the great miracles of creation, the crowning glory of the living world, the one and only opportunity to meet the Lord and merge unto Him. 

It is for this reason that the Masters continually urge us not to waste our time in this world and to attach ourselves to the divine Word within. Meditation should become the top "most priority of our daily life. Nothing should get in its way. Nothing in this world deserves more attention than meditation.

Christ has said: "Say not ye, there are four months and then cometh harvest." 

We always make excuses -why worship the Father so soon? We are still young and have small children. When we grow older and have enough money to our credit, we will retire from our work and find some lonely corner where we can worship the Father. Even after one has received this precious gift of Nam, which also comes as a grace of the Lord, one finds every excuse not to meditate. There is always something 'more pressing' than meditation. 

Huzur Maharaj Ji further emphasizes: "We always like to give the worst part of our life to the Father. When we are young, we give  ourselves to the sensual pleasures, we give ourselves to worldly work. And when we become old, when we cannot enjoy the senses anymore, when they refuse to co-operate with us, we think about the Father. How much can we worship the Father then? We must give the best part of our life to Him. If we come onto the path at a young age, at least we do not collect much rubbish or load. We cannot say that an elderly person can devote more time to meditation. His mind is more scattered. He has spread too many deep roots in this world and he has to pull out every root. If a young one does not allow the roots to spread, it becomes easier for him to pull them out. So whosoever gets the opportunity to be on the path, whenever he gets initiated, should try to do his best." 

Our time in this world is for a limited period. Within the frame­work of our life span, we have the choice of how well we want to spend our time. .But let us always remember that after every life, we are Judged with exact justice as to the manner in which we have lived our lives, the way we have conducted ourselves and the progress we have made Godwards. If our soul has been cleans of its dirty wrappings, if the mind has awakened to the Truth and has turned away, from worldly pleasures. if its love for the Beloved has been one-pointed, exclusive and ceaseless: then the soul can be released to go back to the great mansion of the Lord. If, on the other hand, the mind has remained steeped in the love' of sensual pleasures, has remained dyed in the hue of the world and has turned a deaf ear towards its Creator, it has fed the illusion and has starved the soul. Thus, it can only keep endlessly moving through the cycle of birth and death. 

Huzur Maharaj Ji has said: "Like a treasurer who tests every coin that is brought to him and puts only the genuine ones into the treasury, the Lord receives only pure souls into His presence." 

Let us not forget our way nor our destination. Let us not be overwhelmed by the means but keep the end in view -.our haven of light, life and power. <>

This body cannot be obtained again and again, Why shouldst thou squander it in futility? It does not take long to demolish. Thou art, indeed, fortunate to have been created With such a high endowment. How else could this wondrous form be constructed? And that thou plungest into sensuality.' Why should thou reduce the gold to ashes? Think not that thou shalt find it again. Be not deluded this time. Engage in business quickly, So long as breath dwells in thy body, Why not rush for it? Having taken the human form, If a man does not receive initiation, He will repent.
